AirTap Privacy Policy

AirTap is designed with privacy in mind. Files are transferred directly between devices and are never uploaded to our servers or stored in the cloud.

Information We Collect

To improve AirTap and understand how the application is used, we use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics.

This may include:

Device information and identifiers
Country or region
App version and usage statistics
Crash reports and technical diagnostics

This information is used only to improve app reliability and understand general usage trends. We do not collect your files, personal messages, contacts, email address, or account information.

File Transfers

AirTap transfers files locally between nearby devices. Files are not sent to developer-controlled servers and the developer cannot access your transferred content.

Your Data

Your display name, avatar, settings, and transfer history are stored only on your device and are not uploaded or shared with us.

Permissions

Nearby Wi-Fi Devices: Used to discover and connect to nearby devices.
Location: Required by Android for nearby device discovery.
Notifications: Used for transfer progress and background activity.
Storage: Used to access files you choose to send and save received files.
System Settings: Used for network configuration required for connections.

Internet Usage

AirTap works completely offline for file transfers. Internet access is only used for Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics services.

These services process data according to Google's privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

AirTap is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
